Customer Service Representative

Job function and title:  Customer Service Representative

Department:  Customer Service

Supervised by:  Director of Customer Service

Location:  Savage, MD

Job Responsibilities/Duties:

In the CSR role, the candidate will communicate directly with customers via phone and email, process orders, resolve service problems and conduct research to fully ensure customer satisfaction.  

They will support their sales rep(s) with some administrative duties directly relating to their customer base. They will interact extensively with fellow team members, other departments and a variety of customers and vendors.

An ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:

Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and quality

Minimum 45WPM typing / data entry

Experience in a call center / order processing environment

Fast paced / high volume work environment

Excellent written and verbal communication skills including correct grammar & punctuation

Ability to work easily and effectively with a wide range of people

Able to manage multiple projects and responsibilities at once and to meet deadlines

Ability to be flexible and exercise sound judgment

Demonstrates solid work ethics such as loyalty, reliability, punctuality

Possesses time/organization/stress management skills

Detail oriented / critical thinker / analytical

Respect the need for confidentiality and sensitivity of information

Upbeat / Positive outlook with a friendly and approachable demeanor

 

Education, Certificates, Licenses, & Registrations:  

High school graduate or GED.

Experience: 

Must have at least 3 years of customer service, or call center experience, preferably in a wholesale distribution setting.  Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of programs.
